27 Jan

Kenneth And Gloria Copeland

Isaiah 35:3-4
KJV—Strengthen ye the weak hands, and
confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that
are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not:
behold, your God will come with vengeance,
even God with a recompence; he will come
and save you.

AMP—Strengthen the weak hands and make
firm the feeble and tottering knees. Say to
those who are of a fearful and hasty heart, Be
strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come
with vengeance, with the recompense of God
He will come and save you.

Moffatt—Put heart into the listless, and brace
all weak-kneed souls, tell men with fluttering
hearts, “Have courage, never fear; here comes
your God, he will avenge his folk, here comes
God’s retribution, he comes himself to save
you!”

NIV—Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the
knees that give way; say to those with fearful
hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will
come, he will come with vengeance; with
divine retribution he will come to save you.”

2 Timothy 1:7
KJV—God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound
mind.

AMP—God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of
cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning
fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power
and of love and of calm and well-balanced
mind and discipline and self-control.

Weymouth—The spirit which God has given
us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of
power and of love and of self-discipline.

NIV—God did not give us a spirit of timidity,
but a spirit of power, of love and of selfdiscipline.

Kenneth Copeland — Hidden In God

04 Nov

Kenneth And Gloria Copeland

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the
most High shall abide under the shadow of
the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is
my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him
will I trust…. He shall cover thee with his
feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust:
his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psalm 91:1-2, 4

No matter where you live, there are no safe
places anymore on this earth. No matter where
you go there is no security outside of God. But
as believers, we have security everywhere we
go because God is looking after us. He’s our
shield, our fortress, our refuge.

Absolute safety belongs to the one who
says of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my
fortress.” That is the one of whom David said,
“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and
under his wings shalt thou trust; his truth shall
be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be
afraid…” (Psalm 91:4-5).

To live free while you’re here on the earth,
you must know the truth of God’s covenant
promises to you in Christ, and use that truth
like a shield and a buckler.

How do you use the truth like a shield and
a buckler? By trusting in it. By being steadfast
in your faith and by staying in the Word every
day. Proverbs 18:10 in The Amplified Bible says,
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the
[consistently] righteous man [upright and in
right standing with God] runs into it and is
safe, high [above evil] and strong.”

When you stay in God’s Word consistently,
His words will become the first things that
come to your mind in any situation so you can
speak them out in faith. His promises will rise
up within you in times of trouble and be the
shield, fortress or refuge you need.

When events in the world start to look dark
and troubled, don’t be moved by the things
that are going on around you. Remember,
instead, that God has the ability, the wonderful
ability, to deliver you.
